Ruchika case: Rathore booked under section 306 of IPC

Former Haryana DGP S P S Rathore was booked under Section 306 (abetment
to suicide) of the IPC in the Ruchika molestation case a fresh FIR was
filed against Rathore under Section 306 by the Haryana Police at
Panchkula near here, police said.
The fresh case had been
registered in the wake of a complaint by Ruchika’s brother Ashu
Girhotra, who alleged that Rathore forced his sister to commit suicide
besides torturing him in police custody.
The registration of
the fresh case under Section 306 against Rathore comes a day after the
Central Police Medal Awards Committee decided to withdraw the police
medal awarded earlier to Rathore.
